ABOUT LABELINK. Labelnk is a Canadian leader in printing solutions for the packaging industry: labels, flexible packaging (sachets), shrink sleeves, RFID labels. You have a passion for printing. We need someone dynamic and motivated to join our HR team and to provide support to sites in the regions of Durham, Peel, Halton Hills and Southwestern Ontario. Occasional remote work is possible.
The incumbent will be called upon to work in an environment where versatility is essential.
Your responsibilities:
- Coach and support managers/supervisors on performance management, progressive discipline, performance improvement plans, training and development, onboarding, terminations and health and safety and ensuring fair and equal treatment in all processes.
- Manage Employee Relations matters
- Review and create Policies based on changes to Employment Legislation
- Provide all required payroll documentation to payroll and communicate need-to-know information impacting employees’ pay.
- Responsible for Full-Cycle Recruitment Manage the annual performance review process.
- Prepare and send job offers and hiring package to new hires and follows through to complete the cycle. Conduct new employee orientation and follows-up with the manager/supervisor during the probationary period to ensure the training plan is followed.
- Work with the managers/supervisors to develop and revise job descriptions.
- Attend production meetings to update employees on various human resources policies and procedures and need-to-know information.
- Respond to general inquires from employees on various matters such as policies and procedure, benefits administration, health and safety, etc.
- Receive and investigate employee complaints ensuring issues are addressed in a timely manner and with an appropriate resolution.
- Support plant manager with SOP training – e.g. GMP; Health and Safety etc. Lead health and safety programs and member of JHSC
- Administer work-related (WSIB) and non-work-related injuries, illness and disability. Any other H R related tasks.
Job Requirement
Must have a minimum of 4 years human resources experience in manufacturing.,
Must have a minimum of 4 years human resources generalist experience
Experience in handling employee relations including performance management, conducting investigations, conflicts and terminations
Ability to deliver results with competing and changing priorities
Ability to execute transactional HR tasks.
Experience with onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
Good Administrative skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Good judgment, ability to make decisions with integrity and authenticity.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work all levels of personnel across multiple locations
Proven thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
Must be able to travel within Southwestern Ontario and GTA
