Our Employee Services team is growing and is currently seeking to fill a newly created position of Group Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and develop the talent acquisition function.

About You

You are results oriented with a proven track record in candidate sourcing and talent acquisition.

You have strong leadership and project management skills and have experience developing talent acquisition strategies from the ground up.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

You’ll oversee the development and delivery of strategies, systems and tools to support the attraction and recruitment of top talent. You will implement innovative candidate sourcing strategies for hard to fill roles. Your areas of oversight include talent acquisition including talent attraction, candidate sourcing and early talent partnerships at the highschool and postsecondary level. You will also support activities and initiatives related to employer branding, career development and succession planning.

A key focus will be on developing and implementing key strategies to seek both active and passive candidates in a highly competitive job market. 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provides strategic and operational oversight and direction for the talent acquisition team
  • Leads, coaches and develops a high performance talent acquisition team that is meeting and exceeding key performance indicators and metrics
  • Ensures team is continually developing innovative recruiting and sourcing strategies for full cycle recruitment of retail, skilled trades and corporate level positions
  • Serves as subject matter expert in talent marketplace trends, the availability of talent and analysis of competitors
  • Engages with business leaders and hiring managers at every level of the organization to discuss workforce staffing needs and implement strategies for full cycle recruitment
  • Develops and implements a roadmap of integrating talent acquisition and employee development approaches to create succession pipelines
  • Supports the development of succession planning programs and career development programs for employees.
  • Drives a world class candidate experience to promote the Performance Auto Group brand
  • Partners with the Director of Employee Services on the development of employer branding initiatives and activities
  • Serve as subject matter expert and system lead on our Applicant Tracking System
  • Manage relationships with recruitment related vendors
  • Partners with the Director of Employee Services in evaluating decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals.
  • Demonstrates utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality in the performance of duties.
  • Adheres to all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies.
  • Assumes other duties or special projects as directed by Senior Leadership

What do you need to succeed?

  • University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • CHRP or CHRL designation
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition
  • Talent Acquisition experience in Retail and/or Hospitality considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills including written and presentation
  • Demonstrated track record in implementing creative and innovative talent acquisition and candidate sourcing strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment while effectively managing and balancing multiple priorities, stakeholders and deliverables
  • Service oriented with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate, and improve others
  • Ability to foster a positive and respectful team environment
  • Proficiency in cloud based communications platforms, specifically G Suite applications.
