Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will provide support in the development and implementation of HR plans in alignment with CHATS strategic and operational goals and objectives. Both hands-on and strategic, you will provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, providing expertise in all HR functions with a strong focus on workforce planning and innovative approaches to recruitment and retention, organizational culture, and continuous quality improvement to drive organizational success.


The Human Resources Manager is a trusted advisor to all levels of the organization, and a member of the leadership team.  A relationship builder, you will foster relationships internally to collaborate, support and contribute to organizational initiatives.  Externally, you will foster relationships with community partners to strengthen recruitment and front-line capacity building.  You will monitor HR trends and best practices and stay informed on demographic trends to inform HR planning.

University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or related field. CHRL designation is an asset.  Minimum 5 years progressive generalist experience in human resources including in a leadership role. Demonstrated Human Resources planning and program development experience including implementation and evaluation. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple and conflicting priorities and minimize risk. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in leading, supporting and developing self-managed teams Excellent risk, crisis and conflict management skills. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships and trust at all levels, both internally and externally. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills Strong analytic skills and attention to detail Knowledge of relevant employment legislation. Strong computer (WORD, EXCEL, SharePoint) and technology skills.  HRIS experience an asset (ADP Workforce Now). A vehicle and valid Ontario Driver’s License are required Fluency in both official languages (English & French) or other language(s) is an asset  


CHATS offers a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work remotely and in our office in Aurora, Ontario. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with occasional work outside of business hours and/or weekends to attend organization-related functions and flexibility for support during extraordinary and/or emergency situations.
