Full-Time Staffing Officer - Secondary Staffing

Reporting to the District Principal of Human Resources Services, the Staffing Officer - Secondary Staffing is responsible for the Secondary Teacher staffing process.  This includes ensuring that secondary schools are staffed with teachers based on staffing allocations; required teacher qualifications; collective agreement requirements; relevant legislative requirements.  The incumbent will coordinate their work and liaise with Principals, the District Principal of Human Resources Services, Human Resources and Payroll staff as well as employees and union/federation representative(s).  The incumbent is also responsible for staffing the following other employee groups:

• Elementary Occasional Teachers
• Principal and Vice Principals and
• Any employee contract that falls outside of an established employee group

Overall the incumbent in this position will contribute to student achievement and the TLDSB Mission Statement by ensuring that students have equitable access to qualified and highly effective secondary teacher staff.
