Position Reports To: Manager, Human Resources

 

Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources, the Senior Total Rewards Specialist will be responsible for managing compensation, performance management and benefits programs, and conducting market research into best practices. This role will act as the company-wide lead for compensation and benefits, conducting market research, monitoring compensation and benefits trends and pro-actively identifying and addressing issues in the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, evaluation and analyze internal and external market survey data, in addition to analyzing market trends and making recommendations.
  • Evaluate and analyze market data, and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Lead Pay Equity review and action planning process.
  • Manage the end-to-end annual performance management and compensation process.
  • Generate letters for merit, Short Term and Long Term incentive pay.
  • Develop benefits orientation and other informational materials.
  • Disseminate and promote New Gold benefits programs (e.g. health, dental, RRSP, Lifeworks).
  • Support the preparation of Human Resource Compensation Committee materials.
  • Participate in annual benefits review process, gather inputs from sites and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Complete quarterly benefit reconciliation.
  • Work closely with HR Managers on matters related to Total Rewards policies and processes.
  • Participate in audit processes and support recommendations.
  • Research best practices and trends to support senior management strategic discussions.
  • Support the annual Management Information Circular process and maintain records for peer review and audit trail.
  • Maintain and prepare data analytics.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, with a minimum 5+ years of experience in related field.
  • Broad range of compensation-related experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP, HRIS and Advanced knowledge of Excel.
