Title: Director, People & Culture

Details: Permanent, Full-time 34 hours/week/ 4-day work week

Reporting to: Deputy Executive Director. Manages a team of 2-4 staff.

Location: Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal offices and remote as needed

Are you a talented Human Resources leader with a track record for providing strong, equitable and inclusive human resources management? Have you been instrumental in leading organizational transformation and change integrating Equity, Diversity and Inclusion?

The David Suzuki Foundation (DSF), one of Canada’s largest and most respected non-governmental, environmental organizations, seeks an experienced Director, People & Culture to lead this critical function and support organizational transformation.

This is an opportunity for someone with experience in organization-wide human resource systems, people and culture leadership, and change management, to support DSF in its transformation journey, including embedding principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into organizational operations.

Working under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director and in partnership with the Senior Management Team and our Board, you will help the Foundation to achieve a healthy, equitable and anti-racist culture where staff thrive in an accountable and relational organization. 

You are a collaborative team player who values transparency in interactions and understands the value of relationship building. You are able to manage complex situations and challenges and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are aligned with the values and mission of the DSF and demonstrate them in your leadership of the People and Culture portfolio.
