We invite applications for a newly created part-time opportunity in the role of Human Resources Associate, reporting to the Director of Human Resources. This part-time position will be scheduled three days per week with the potential to grow into a full-time opportunity.
The Human Resources Associate will perform a generalist function to support the human resources programming at St. Andrew’s College and St. Anne’s School. This position will prioritize working closely with the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator as the primary backup for the bi-weekly and monthly payroll, absence management and pension administration. The portfolio will also include assisting with recruiting and onboarding new employees, administration of group insurance benefits, pensions, policy development, reporting and tracking of training, headcount, and benchmark data.
In supporting all functional departments of both schools, the Human Resources Associate will understand the importance of fostering positive employee relations with all employees through timely responses to inquiries, clear communications, and conflict resolution.
Ideal candidates hold a post-secondary degree, completion of the CHRP designation and 2-3 years of practical experience working in a human resource generalist capacity. Prior experience with hourly and salaried payroll and pension administration, preferably Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, is a requirement. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. We seek solution-oriented, flexible candidates who manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Diplomacy, confidentiality, and professionalism are all critical characteristics this role requires.
