HR Manager

The Tessera Group Inc. is looking for an experienced HR Manager to establish an HR practice across all our brands including George A Wright & Son Toronto (Scarborough), MD Packaging Inc (Uxbridge), and Penmar Automation (Newmarket).

The Tessera Group is a grouping of brands delivering products and services throughout production facilities. Our business units combine design, fabrication, integration, sales, service, parts and consumables to deliver exceptional value to our partners across multiple industries.

The ideal candidate for our newly created HR Manager role will establish the group HR function and partner with the key leaders on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

This job will NOT be a fit for someone who is looking for daily direction and feedback, or strict rules and guidelines. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience, CHRL an asset
• 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
• Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
• Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
• Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
• Attention to detail and good judgement
• Previous experience partnering with senior management, preferred
• Proven experience of leading deployment of organizational change
• Ability to work in office (the majority of your time will be spent in the Scarborough location but travel to other facilities may be required).  Some at home work will be supported but during the initial months in person work will be preferred.
