Position Title:             Human Resources Coordinator

Department:              Human Resources                                         

Position Type:            Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

Term:                           1 Temporary Contract (1 year with possibility of extension)

 

Community Living Burlington is a social-profit charitable organization serving the communities across the Halton region since 1955. Our mission is to enrich the quality of life of people with a developmental disability and promote their full and meaningful inclusion in the community.

Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative support and coordinate activities for the Human Resources Department.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Provides administrative support to assist the HR Manager with recruitment activities, including posting external job advertisements, screening candidates, scheduling and participating in interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Assists the HR Manager with coordinating annual training for all employees.
  • Maintains training excel spreadsheets to ensure all employee training is up to date, works with Program Managers and Scheduling for changes.
  • Responsible for collecting and tracking new hire paperwork.
  • Responsible for setting up accounts for new hires.
  • Super User for internal systems, responsible for creating new accounts, resetting passwords, updating name changes, etc.
  • Maintains all employee files.
  • Ensures all non-union employee files are up to date to meet all compliance requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Competencies

  • Minimum 2 year community college diploma in Business or Human Resources.
  • Actively working towards CHRP designation, preferred.
  • 2 years related Human Resources or administrative experience, preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organized, strong time management skills and able to multi-task.
  • Positive attitude and flexible approach, takes initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online is an asset.
  • Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems with ability to create and generate reports.
  • Must provide clear vulnerable sector screening, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination.

 

This position will have the ability to work some time from home, depending on the needs of the department.

This position is a guaranteed 40 hours per week. This position may require you to work extended hours as needed by the Agency.
