FedEx Express Canada is seeking a Senior Total Rewards Specialist / Total Rewards Specialist located in Mississauga, ON.

Currently on a Hybrid work model.

Job Summary:

In this role you will ensure that the Canadian region’s employee total rewards programs are competitive, cost-effective and in compliance with legislative requirements. Responsible for the evaluation, analysis and implementation of compensation reviews and job evaluation.

What will you be doing each day?

  • Interpreting, communicating and supporting the company’s Total Rewards program, including training/guiding others on the application of guidelines/policies.
  • Leading and supporting all key compensation efforts including the development and implementation of new/revised ad-hoc programs focused on attraction and retention strategies.
  • Working with Talent Acquisition and managers, making compensation recommendations for new hires and internal promotions
  • Assisting internal clients in revising, or developing new, job descriptions, conducting job evaluations including determining salary grades, conducting comparative market reviews and participating in compensation surveys
  • Maintaining positive working relations with internal clients and external providers
  • Acting as a project lead for major projects and providing technical assistance to other specialists/ and professionals
  • Providing training to new staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and providing leadership and guidance to junior team members
  • As a subject matter expert, be a key contributor in the annual review of our Total Rewards programs, including new/revised program design, analysis, financial impacts and recommendations for salary/wage ranges, merit increases, etc. to executive leadership for implementation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources / Business /Finance / Economics
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or CHRP is required.
  • Minimum four years of experience in Human Resources with a minimum of two years of direct experience in total rewards (Compensation, benefits)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications especially in MS Excel.
  • Excellent presentation, communication (written & verbal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills
  • Experience with Workday (preferred)
