THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
requires a
TEMPORARY HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
LOCATION: Board Administration Office, Pembroke
HOURS PER WEEK: 35 hours per week, 12 months per year
SUMMARY: As a member of the Board’s Human Resources team, the successful candidate will work cooperatively with managers, school administrators, staff, volunteers and the public in all areas of human resources management. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, our HR Officers are aligned with specific client groups and/or programs with Board wide impact.
RATE OF PAY: Commensurate with education and experience within the current HR Officer Band ($71,799 - $82,719).
TERM: March 6, 2023 to June 30, 2024 (or the return of the incumbent)
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 3-year post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources Management, Business or relevant field or equivalent
• In receipt of or working towards a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
• 3-5 years of related HR experience, preferably in a multi-unionized or educational environment
• Prior experience in labour relations, collective bargaining, disability management and wellness program development would be an asset
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and a strong ethic of teamwork
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including experience with data management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a busy environment with frequent unexpected interruptions
• Valid Ontario driver’s license for periodic travel
