The Opportunity

Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of Canada’s leading conservation organizations, is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable HR Coordinator to join our team! This position will have the opportunity to be a hybrid or remote working schedule. 

In this position, you will provide recruitment support to the overall Human Resources team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing recruitment support like maintaining the current position description library, advertising job postings on appropriate job boards and reviewing and/or preparing offer letters.
  • Work on summer student programs, co-op programs, and support the development of an internship program.
  • Ensuring all employee onboarding experiences are positive and in alignment with the overall onboarding program.
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating recruitment and onboarding metrics and reports.

You are a confident, self-motivated individual with strong initiative and a positive, “can do” attitude.  You are a reliable team player with strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.

You are an energetic collaborator who believes in delivering the best customer service.  Relationships are important to you and you excel at cultivating them.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the HR field.
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent; university degree is considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who are bilingual in both English and French.

Additional Skills and Abilities

  • CPHR designation or working towards is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive & Outlook. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable employment standard laws and regulations, legislative issues and industry trends related to recruitment.
  • Excellent internal/external customer service with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable to change and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgement, high level of integrity, able to keep confidential information secure.
  • The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
