The HRBP is responsible for supporting managers and team members with ongoing HR initiatives, employee development, retention and talent management including full cycle recruitment and onboarding.
Scope of Responsibility
- Participate in and support various aspects of HR functions including the selection process, employee engagement, training and orientation, performance management, employee relations.
- Full cycle recruitment support for all Canadian facilities
- Create a positive onboarding experience for all new employees and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed.
- Participate in investigations and provide recommendations for resolution as needed to address employee relations issues
- Develop and deliver educational materials for orientation & onboarding new hires
- Support employees on the use of software tools
- Conduct employee exit interviews as needed
- Participate in and support HR related projects
- Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Distribute employee communications, distributing memos, job postings, policies and procedures, employment standards and employee related information
- Prepare manuals; new hire orientation files; reports and update information
- Be first point of contact for inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs related to benefits
- Coordinate with payroll for any benefit inquires
- Maintain electronic records and employees’ files as required
Requirements
- 3-5+ years’ of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
- Degree in HR or related work experience
- CPHR designation OR career goal and working towards become designated
- High degree of confidentiality
- Understanding of Employment Standards
- Comfortable with technology, MS Office required
- Exposure to any related HRIS systems an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
