The HRBP is responsible for supporting managers and team members with ongoing HR initiatives, employee development, retention and talent management including full cycle recruitment and onboarding.

 

Scope of Responsibility

 

 

  • Participate in and support various aspects of HR functions including the selection process, employee engagement, training and orientation, performance management, employee relations.
  • Full cycle recruitment support for all Canadian facilities
  • Create a positive onboarding experience for all new employees and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed.
  • Participate in investigations and provide recommendations for resolution as needed to address employee relations issues
  • Develop and deliver educational materials for orientation & onboarding new hires
  • Support employees on the use of software tools
  • Conduct employee exit interviews as needed
  • Participate in and support HR related projects
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Distribute employee communications, distributing memos, job postings, policies and procedures, employment standards and employee related information
  • Prepare manuals; new hire orientation files; reports and update information
  • Be first point of contact for inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs related to benefits
  • Coordinate with payroll for any benefit inquires
  • Maintain electronic records and employees’ files as required

 

 

Requirements

 

  • 3-5+ years’ of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
  • Degree in HR or related work experience
  • CPHR designation OR career goal and working towards become designated
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Understanding of Employment Standards
  • Comfortable with technology, MS Office required
  • Exposure to any related HRIS systems an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
