Human Resource Generalist

We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist to perform the following responsibilities:

Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes including candidate screening and assessment

Conduct employee onboarding and assist with organizing and delivering training

Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise

Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures

Manage and monitor tasks around performance management

Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters

Organize and manage employee performance reviews

Manage and monitor performance related issues and implement changes

Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form

Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities

Skills and qualifications include:

Undergraduate degree in human resources or related discipline or equivalent

Completion or working towards completion of valid HR designation (CHRP/CHRL)

JHSC certification an asset

4 to 5 years progressive experience in all functions of HR and strong knowledge of relevant legislation

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Able to work with all levels of employees, respectfully, professionally and with discretion
