ABOUT US:
Logic Executive Search & Workplace Solutions is proud to be partnering with Green Shield Canada in the recruitment of a Director, Human Resource Business Partner (Hybrid – Windsor, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City).
Green Shield Canada is revolutionizing the healthcare industry as part of our mission to ensure better health for all!
In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to ensure she could afford a prescription for her sick daughter. Her knew there had to be a better way! He introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and Green Shield was born as a not-for-profit health benefits provider that re-invested its earnings to support better health for all Canadians.
Today, we follow in the footsteps of our founder as we continue our pursuit of a better way. No longer just a traditional health and dental benefits provider, Green Shield is now the first integrated health services organization in Canada that is both a payer (offering insurance, administering benefits, and paying claims) and a provider (offering medical, mental health, and pharmacy services).
This means we can uniquely offer:
- Direct access to real time professional health services
- Convenience to engage our services anywhere, anytime, effortlessly
- Integration of our services, creating a seamless experience
- Improved health outcomes via preventative care and treatment, and data driven insights
This evolution also deepens our social mission through both financial support and the direct delivery of services to support local communities and underserved populations across Canada.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
An integral member of the Sr HR Leadership team, the Director HR Business Partner will act as a mini CHRO for each of their client areas, and the key point of contact for Executives, Vice Presidents and Directors. They will be responsible for driving stronger talent management in support of desired business outcomes through people related strategies, by requesting, informing, and leveraging HR solutions that are built by the Communities of Expertise (COEs). HRBPs will be accountable to direct the business on people strategies and talent decisions.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sr leaders as a trusted advisor and maintain a thorough understanding of the client group’s business strategy to inform what talent initiatives are necessary to drive business success. Work with the business to develop talent requirements/initiatives to support and evolve the function’s operating model, talent and culture.
Strategic Talent and Performance Management: Provide strategic HR advisement to client groups leveraging support from the COEs, ensuring we have a solid approach to confirming we have the right talent in the right roles, with programs and support in place to develop the right skills & competencies for current and future roles. Project Management: Focused on execution that delivers on business goals. Draw out the end-to-end process, using agile planning to break work down into sprints with clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities, and accountabilities, with retrospective reviews for lessons and insights.
