Objectives:   Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and Infrastructure, the Human Resources & Payroll Administrator is primarily responsible for the completion of administrative work supporting pay and human resources functions within the organization. The incumbent in this role is responsible for payroll entry, tracking and maintaining of employee and departmental records, responding to employee inquiries and completing general human resources administrative tasks. Additionally, the incumbent will represent Renison in a manner consistent with the values, goals, and strategic directions of organization.

 

Qualifications:  

  • Post-secondary education in a HR related field; CHRP or CHRL designation
  • Payroll experience including entry and reconciliation (2-3 years)
  • Administrative experience (2-3 years), preferably in a post-secondary setting
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders providing strong customer service
  • Professional and diplomatic, possessing the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Highly detail oriented, with an aptitude for accuracy
  • Effective organizational skills, with the ability to work with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in the use of technology (e.g., Word-processing, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, email, file management, ATS and websites etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with the Workday platform is an asset.
