As the Human Resources Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in partnering with the Executive team to identify, implement, and drive HR objectives, policies, and procedures. Your primary focus will be on fostering a corporate culture that aligns with IVEY Group's mission, vision, and values while providing strategic guidance and creative solutions to complex business matters.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills. We are looking for a motivated individual who possess excellent work ethic and can navigate through change to support the rapid growth of the organization. This position will be responsible for the Human Resources function and will report to the President and CEO.


Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Executive team to establish and implement HR objectives, programs, and policies in line with organizational goals. Drive corporate culture by promoting the company's mission, vision, and values across all levels of the organization.

Policy Guidance and Interpretation:

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees, ensuring understanding and compliance with company policies.

Problem-Solving and Employee Consultation:

  • Consult with employees and leaders to address issues, employing a systematic and flexible approach aligned with the long-term business strategy.

HR Program Administration:

  • Partner with management to administer and execute HR programs including training, compensation, benefits, PTO, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, talent management, recognition, retention, and engagement.

Knowledge Utilization and Compliance:

  • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies to enhance company performance and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.

Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Oversee successful onboarding of new hires, promotions, and transfers, ensuring a seamless integration into the organization.

Coaching and Influence:

  • Coach and influence managers and employees to optimize business results through effective HR practices and solutions.

Office Compliance and Confidentiality:

  • Ensure proper management and compliance of office locations with federal and provincial legislation while handling complex and sensitive matters with confidentiality.

General Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage and oversee general administrative tasks as required to support HR operations.

Required skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field; HR certification is a plus.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience (3 years – 6 years) in HR management roles, with a track record of strategic HR leadership.
  • Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software tools.
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
