This is a permanent full-time, thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hours per week position with duties effective September 3, 2024.  

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Human Resources Services, the Human Resources Services Advisor assists in the coordination of the recruitment process, primarily for support staff, including tracking resumes, co-ordinating and facilitating interviews, conducting skills assessments and reference checks, preparing offer letters and leading new employee orientation sessions.  The Human Resources Services Advisor will regularly participate on interview panels for entry level support staff positions.  The Human Resources Services Advisor also assists with keeping confidential records on the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) up to date and accurate for assigned employee groups.  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or deemed equivalency
  • Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader (CHRP or CHRL) designation is an asset
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a Human Resources Department
  • Experience with a school board would be considered an asset 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong professionalism, discretion and adherence to confidentiality
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills including experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and maintaining Human Resources Information Systems.  Laserfiche and iSYS*Works experience would be considered an asset.
