The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting the overall HR strategy of the organization. Reporting to the HR Manager, the generalist assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, handle employee relations, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, and other HR functions. They also ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintain employee records, and provide support to employees regarding HR-related matters.
Your Responsibilities
Supporting the organization’s entire employee life cycle, from hire through termination; Conduct orientation and maintain records Responsible for a training matrix and ensure employees obtain and complete training as required Assist Employees with questions or concerns regarding HR policies/ procedures; Maintaining HR and Payroll Information Systems (NetSuite) Recruitment for internal/ external positions; Assist in the development of HR related policies/ procedures; Other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for
Collaborative team member Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point; Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality; Strong organizational and time management skills; Self-starter with the ability to prioritize many different tasks; Effective oral and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to gather and analyze information; Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail; Ability to work flexible hours as required. Must live in the Cambridge/Kit-Wat/Guelph areas.
Your preferred qualifications
Business degree with focus in HR or post grad in Human Resources Working toward CHRP/CHRL Minimum 3 (three) years HR Generalist experience required with experience in some or all of the following areas: recruitment, onboarding, conflict resolution, policy development, employment laws, employee relations; Thorough understanding of HR related legislation required; Experience with NetSuite an asset
