Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits is the third largest producer of VQA wines in Niagara, Ontario and we are seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to support our organization within the Niagara Region.
The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated and work autonomously, while aligning with overall business goals and objectives. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with all team members across multiple business units is essential.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Update HR related documents & employment policies where needed with direction
- Maintain records in both RISE (HRIS) and SharePoint
- Work with the Leadership to build an HR Calendar and maintain communication & activity related to monthly objectives
- Assist with recruiting including; posting, contacting job candidates, scheduling interviews and maintaining follow-up with applicable candidates
- Participate in various HR Projects to support employee engagement
- Lead Onboarding/Offboarding of employees, conduct Exit Interviews
- Document Process & Workflow, creating SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) & provide recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze employee data & trends, creating reports for Senior Leadership
- Provide Employee Relations-related assistance to Leadership team as required
- Co-Chair the Health & Safety Committee
- Stay current in all areas of compliance associated with the ESA, OHSA & Human Rights
- Benefits Administration
- Serve as a key contact for employee inquiries concerning policies, procedures, and employee programs.
- Provide back-up to Payroll as required
- Project a positive image to customers both internal and external
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- 3-5 years HR Coordinator/Associate experience, preferably in a Customer Support organization
- Minimum 2+ years of Payroll Administration experience would be an asset
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or other related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships
- Keen attention to detail with strong administrative skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality & discretion
- Understanding of all provincial Employment Standards and Labour laws
- Understanding of payroll practices is a definite asset
- Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with HR software, preferably RISE People
- A clear and succinct English language communicator (verbal and written)
- Works well under limited supervision in a fast-paced virtual office environment
- Comfortable working in a stand-alone position
- Ability to drive/work out of multiple locations as required
